NSBE BOSTON UNVEILS 2025 INSPIRE STEM GALA – “BLACK BRILLIANCE BOLD FUTURES”

Boston, MA – The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Boston Professionals is thrilled to announce the 2025 Inspire STEM Gala, a premier celebration of Black excellence, innovation, and impact in STEM. Set to take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, this year’s gala—themed “Black Brilliance, Bold Futures”—will highlight the transformative power of education, opportunity, and leadership in shaping the future of STEM.
NSBE Boston President, Mekides Mezgebu, emphasized the significance of this year’s event:
“Black brilliance has always been at the forefront of STEM innovation. Through the Inspire STEM Gala, we are not only celebrating past achievements but also laying the foundation for bold, transformative futures. The 7th Annual Inspire STEM Gala reaffirms our commitment to empowering the next generation of Black engineers, scientists, and technologists—trailblazers who will continue to drive change and redefine what’s possible. This year, NSBE Boston is awarding over $100,000 in scholarships to support Black students pursuing STEM education, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to increasing access and opportunity in the field. The 2025 Inspire STEM Gala will feature an honoree awards ceremony recognizing trailblazers and innovators in STEM, a scholarship presentation highlighting academic achievement and opportunity, and a special address from a City of Boston representative.
With more than 250 distinguished guests expected, including corporate executives, community leaders, and top STEM professionals, the event will serve as a powerful platform for networking, and strategic partnerships in STEM.
About the Annual Inspire STEM Gala
The Annual Inspire STEM scholarship and awards gala is NSBE Boston’s foremost fundraising initiative, supporting youth STEM education, outreach and scholarship for Black students. The 2025 gala has a goal of raising $100,000 that will be awarded to the Inspire STEM scholars.
